my mission
to rule the power of the Sun
Renewable energy harvesting and storage are foundational to a resilient, decarbonized civilization—abundance means little without the ability to capture photons when they arrive and deliver electrons exactly when and where they are needed. The mission is to engineer photo-responsive, carbon-based electrodes and interfaces that convert illumination into reliable, fast, and scalable capacitance, thereby closing the gap between energy capture and on-demand power.
Photosupercapacitors are positioned as a pragmatic first step on a long arc toward star‑scale energy systems: by coupling light harvesting with ultrafast charge storage, they offer instantaneous delivery, long cycle life, and integration pathways from lab prototypes to manufacturable devices. Open science accelerates the trajectory: analysis code, datasets, and clear reporting are released, allowing results to be verified, reused, and extended across groups, thereby compressing the timeline from idea to impact. The ultimate horizon is the technological maturity symbolized by a Dyson Sphere—maximizing capture and orchestration of stellar energy—while today’s research delivers the enabling building blocks one device, dataset, and interface at a time.
